EPG Field Service Technician - Summerville
Description of Position
This position requires a unique skill set. Daily duties include the candidate being able to perform preventative maintenance on gen sets up to and including minor repairs. Duties also include the troubleshooting and repair of generators as well as related components such as transfer switches and switchgears.
Additional Requirements
The candidate must have a strong engine and electrical background with the ability to display a high level of skill and understanding regarding the CAT product line but will consider applicants that have experience with other EPG brands.
Be able to complete technical start-up of diesel and gas engines and generator sets.
Independently diagnose and repair prime and stand-by power.
Basic working knowledge of automatic start and stop controls, safety shut-downs, circuit breakers and control panel wiring.
Must be available to work over-time.
Must be able to work independently.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with less than three moving violations in the past three years.
