On-site maintenance
and repair options remove the troubles of maintaining and managing
equipment, putting it all together in a program with one monthly
fee. Our programs range from simple on-site lube and maintenance to
a total
maintenance and repair package. For more information, contact our
technical services department (locations
here).
On-Site Preventive
Maintenance
An on-site preventive maintenance (PM)
program can keep your equipment in peak condition. Our CAT-trained
professionals can perform scheduled maintenance on your machine at
any location in South Carolina.
- Every 250 hours a
technician performs PM on your machine
- We use Genuine CAT Fluids and Filters made specifically for
your CAT machine
- Blanchard Scheduled Oil Sampling
with each service can alert you to potential problems in your
power train
and hydraulic systems. You can also get these reports online.
- You know what your equipment maintenance will cost - no
surprises
- We properly dispose of all waste oil and used filters - no
environmental hassles
- Complete visual machine
inspection provides you with permanent PM record keeping
- Baldwin filters for your non-CAT equipment
Hydraulic Services
A hydraulic system may lose up to 20% of its performance
before an experienced operator notices. These "invisible" efficiency
losses can have a big long-term impact on your operating costs, not
to mention how repairing complicated hydraulic systems can be
expensive. Keeping your systems operating efficiently can save
you both time and money. Our Custom Hydraulic Service
(CHS) agreement is designed to keep the hydraulic system on your machine
operating at peak efficiency.
During a hydraulic service, a
complete inspection is performed by a Blanchard professional,
establishing the condition of your hydraulic system. We visually
check for leaks and damage, drift test all cylinders, check cycle
times, relief valve setting, pump flow, and steering time and slip.
An inspection report is forwarded to you with the results and any
recommended repairs needed to bring your machine up to original
operating specs.
A CHS agreement provides
two hydraulic system tune ups at 1000 and 3000 hours, and one
complete hydraulic system PM service at 2000 hours. All three
services are performed at your job site and include scheduled oil analysis and particle
counting. You receive a complete inspection report
for each service performed detailing your hydraulic system's
condition. Your machine receives only CAT fluids and
filters, and you get comprehensive reports alerting you to
potentially expensive problems - letting you "nip them in the bud."
Scheduled Oil Sampling (SOS)
Analysis
Our fluid analysis evaluates your machine's fluids
composition. These tests
help us determine what's happening inside your system and can
provide an early warning against potentially catastrophic problems with your machine's engine.
Wear Metal Analysis identifies the specific wear metal and the
amount of contaminant in the oil. Infrared Analysis monitors oil
condition and signals when contaminants chemically break down oil.
Particle Count quantifies both metallic and non metallic particles.
It detects the build-up of all particles, including large particles that Wear Metal Analysis cannot detect,
providing an early alarm on abnormal wear.
Once ready, we'll interpret and analyze the SOS reports with you, determine whether
additional tests need to be performed, and decide on the right
action to take. You can also receive these reports online and
through email.
Total Maintenance & Repair
The cost of maintaining
and repairing heavy equipment during its lifetime can be over 60% of the initial purchase price. A Total
Maintenance & Repair (TM&R) agreement from Blanchard offers a no-hassle approach to managing your machine's operating
costs. A TM&R agreement takes the total cost of your machine's maintenance
and repairs over a set time period and transforms it into an easy to
manage, easy to budget, monthly payment.
TM&R agreements include all normal repairs to the
major components of the hydraulic, engine and drive train systems*.
Regular maintenance, including inspection reports, record keeping,
waste oil & filter disposal, SOS, etc., will be performed every 250 hours. For the
life of your
agreement, your maintenance and repair budget is set, giving you the
peace of mind that comes with knowing your costs in advance.
Does my machine need a
systems inspection or CHS agreement?
You and your operators are the first line of
preventive maintenance, by inspecting and "listening to" your
equipment. If you notice any of the
following situations on your machine, it may be time to call Blanchard for a system inspection
and Custom Hydraulic Service agreement:
Fluid leaking from a cylinder, hose
or pump
Excessive cylinder drift
Overheating or noisy operation
Slow cycle times or a concern about machine performance and
productivity
Blisters or abrasions in hose
Loose cylinder joints
SOS results show increased levels of contamination
Your machine has reached its targeted repair-before-failure hours
Your machine is down for other repairs
