We offer several types of Cat machine rebuilds depending on your needs:

  • Custom rebuild: Custom machinery rebuilds from Blanchard Machinery allow you to choose which systems and components of your machine should be rebuilt to extend the life of your machine.
  • Cat Certified Rebuild: The Cat Certified Rebuild Program offers a like-new machine with a new warranty and serial number, all at a fraction of the cost of a comparable new machine.

Cat Certified Rebuild Programs

The Certified Rebuild Program starts with a complete machine inspection. The machine is then completely disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up. We’ll include all Cat product updates.

Next, more than 350 tests and inspections are performed to ensure the same high level of quality as a new Cat machine. This process includes the automatic replacement of more than 7,000 parts. As we disassemble your equipment, we assess each part according to strict reusability guidelines. If it doesn’t pass the test, we’ll swap it out with a new component so that you avoid the expense and downtime of chasing problems through the system one repair at a time. We also provide reconditioning, including replacing wiring, fixing the frame and updating software.

We take apart and reassemble excavator hydraulic systems. Our restorations keep the arm and bucket moving so you can easily dig.

Extend the life of your machine and simultaneously improve your fuel consumption with Cat Certified Hydraulic Rebuilds. Our full-system approach will completely restore hydraulic and hydrostatic drive systems to like-new performance. We will also update all “wet” hydraulic components, including pumps, motors, valves, accumulators, hoses, tubes, tanks, coolers and cylinders. These rebuilds are backed by Cat specifications and a one-year, 2,000-hour warranty.

We perform two levels of powertrain rebuilds. The first focuses solely on propulsion components, like the engine, axles, transmission and driveshaft. A Cat Certified Powertrain Rebuild not only replaces or reconditions over 3,000 parts on your machine, but we will also include all critical engineering updates and improvements.

That’s why we do 200 tests and inspections to make sure you’re getting the same high-quality machine you’d expect from a Cat powertrain. Your new powertrain is also backed by extended coverage through Caterpillar and fully supported by Blanchard Machinery.

With Powertrain Plus, you get all those services and other areas that may require restoration, such as the hydraulics.

After extended use, your entire machine may need rebuilding. We fully disassemble and remake every component. These services involve engineering updates, performance testing and repainting. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a rebuild identification number (RIN), giving your old machine a new identity.

We rebuild commercial power equipment, such as generator sets, pumps and marine propulsion engines. The process involves thorough performance testing for details, including pressure settings and torques.

Component Rebuilds

Our component rebuilds cover one particular part, like the axles, engine or final drive. Your heavy machinery may have the most wear in one area. Component services let you focus on the part that needs the most attention.

From minor overhauls to entire engine rebuilds, from torque converters to transmissions, our component rebuild services offer maximum value with minimum downtime.

Each rebuild is performed to meet exact reuse guidelines and specifications from Caterpillar. They also include all critical engineering updates. We subject every engine we rebuild to dynamometer testing and verify the performance of all rebuilt transmissions on our transmission test bench.
