OSHA COMPETENT PERSON TRAINING

TRENCH SAFETY TRAINING SAVES LIVES!

The Competent Person is required to be able to identify potential dangers of all excavation worksites as it relates to the OSHA Subpart P – Excavation standards; and enforce the regulated trench safety
best practices on all excavation projects. This includes knowing the dynamics of soil pressure, how to classify soil conditions, and how to properly slope a trench or use an appropriate trench safety devise such as a trench shield or hydraulic shoring.
